Club de Deportes Iquique S.A.D.P. is a Chilean professional football club based in Iquique, currently playing in the Chilean Primera División. Founded in 1978, the club's home stadium is the Estadio Tierra de Campeones, which has a 13,171 capacity. Iquique has spent 19 seasons in the Primera División, its longest spell lasting ten years (1980–90). The team has spent 13 seasons in Primera B and four in the third-tier Tercera División. Among its titles, Iquique has won three Copa Chile titles (1980, 2010 and 2013–14). They have a local rivalry with San Marcos de Arica, disputing the derby since early 1980s. Estadio Tierra de Campeones is an athletics and football stadium in Iquique, Tarapaca Region, Chile. It is the home stadium of Deportes Iquique. The stadium which was built in 1993, was demolished in 2016, and re-opened in 2020. In 1997 the stadium was one of the venues for the 1997 South American U-20 Championship. 2011 Copa Sudamericana
The 2011 Copa Sudamericana de Clubes (officially the 2011 Copa Bridgestone Sudamericana de Clubes for sponsorship reasons) was the 10th edition of the Copa Sudamericana, South America's secondary international club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The winner, Universidad de Chile, qualified for the 2012 Copa Libertadores, the 2012 Recopa Sudamericana, and the 2012 Suruga Bank Championship. Qualified teams Draw The draw was originally to be held on June 14, 2011, at CONMEBOL's Convention Center in Luque, Paraguay, but was postponed by CONMEBOL due to disruptions to air traffic in the region by the volcanic eruption of the Puyehue-Cordón Caulle volcanic complex, first to June 16, and then to June 21, and finally to June 28, with the venue switched to the Sheraton Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The 2009 Campeonato Nacional de Apertura Copa Banco Estado was the 85th season of top-tier football in Chile. The tournament champion was Universidad de Chile, so that earned their 13th league title after a five-year winless, after winning over Unión Española on points, in the finals, that allowed the automatically qualification of the university team to the 2010 Copa Libertadores Second Stage. After the relegations of Deportes Melipilla, Provincial Osorno and Deportes Concepción (because administration problems), the number of teams that contested the tournament was reduced from 20 to 18, following the promotion of Curicó Unido, which made their first top-flight appearance in 35 years. Coquimbo Unido is a Chilean football club based in the city of Coquimbo. The club was founded in 1958 and has played in the Chilean Primera División since being promoted in 2022. Their home games are played at the Estadio Municipal Francisco Sánchez Rumoroso, which has a capacity of approximately 18,750 seats. History The club was founded on 30 August 1958. Edson Raúl Puch Cortez (; born 9 April 1986) is a Chilean footballer who plays as a forward for Deportes Iquique.
